You cannot force yourself onto your audience. If you can find a way to be helpful, build relationships and stay front of mind then you are marketing your business.
I recently spoke to an amazing accountant who is running a pretty awesome practice. I asked her what marketing she was doing and she said she didn’t do any marketing.
She then went on to say that she was regularly featured on podcasts, was running joint webinars with influencers and speaking on stages.
She was naturally sharing her knowledge, providing value and building relationships. But it didn’t feel like she was purposely investing time in marketing activities.
I did giggle when she told me, and said “but that’s marketing”. But you know what, the best marketing doesn’t feel like marketing.
